Janie has recently been called as our Stake FamilySearch Indexing Director. Here are some things she has to share about indexing.
Why is indexing important?

Volunteers extract family history information from digital images of historical documents (birth, marriage, death, census' records) to create searchable indexes that assist everyone in finding their ancestors so they can do the Temple Work in their behalf.
In 30 minutes you can help people find their ancestors!

• Use your own PC - Work in your PJ's from the comfort of your own home, whenever you wish.
• It is necessary to have a high speed interent connection.
• If you are interested you can volunteer at www.familysearchindexing.com
• Specify that you are in the "Pleasant Grove Utah West Stake"
• Download the small program, create a username and password (write it down!)
• Train yourself with the on-line tutorials

Watch out! Indexing is addicting in a good way!
