Children's Discovery Garden at Thanksgiving Point

Now entering its fifth year the Princess Festival moves to Thanksgiving Point. The Children’s Discovery Gardens are transformed into a princess playland where pre-registered girls may visit princess stations throughout the Garden for photo ops, mini-performances, glass slipper fittings and more!

This year the Princess Festival is going to be slightly different than seasons past. For starters, your little Princess will have the opportunity to join in six different shortened adventures at your own pace and choosing, each 15 minutes long for a total of 1.5 hours (instead of one 40-minute guided adventure). This will make the groups of girls smaller (15-20 girls at a time), and make it easier to work your way around.
We are still finalizing the details of the adventures, but this year we are planning to bring you:

• The story of the Magic Flute
• The Twelve Dancing Princesses 
• Everley's Princess Ilissa's adventure 
• Everley's Princess Kadesia's adventure 
• ...and more!

Experience the rich culture and traditions of Scotland with the 38th Annual Utah Scottish Festival & Highland Games. Free kids (ages 11 and under) and Member discounts make this Festival a bargain thrifty Scots can't resist. Scotland’s rich heritage of dance with all its energetic flair and precise movement is a major focus this year.

Another centerpiece is competition in three major areas-- Highland dancing, piping & drumming, and traditional Highland athletics. In addition, Scottish food, vendors and music are available, plus a variety of other activities & events to interest every family member.

Utah Valley University will host their 25th Annual Auto & Motorcycle Expo and Swap Meet. UVU welcomes thousands of spectators and has more than 700 car entries. The Auto Expo is among the largest car shows in Utah and includes local car clubs and unique private collections.

In addition to the spectacular cars on display is the largest automotive swap meet in Utah, which draws in people from all over the northwest. All proceeds from the event will be donated to scholarships for auto, diesel and collision repair students at UVU.

Tulip Festival

Welcome spring this April and enjoy all the colors of the rainbow spread throughout nearly 100 different varieties of tulips during the annual Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival. Featuring 250,000 tulips spread throughout the 55-acre Thanksgiving Point Gardens, the Tulip Festival is an awe-inspiring sight that is redesigned each year to create a new display.

In addition to the spectacular tulips, on Fridays and Saturdays the Tulip Festival includes music, vendors, and food. Garden tours and demonstrations run every day. And though there are hundreds of volunteers and staff working behind the scenes to create the festival, make no mistake about it: Mother Nature is in charge of the show.

Coming to you straight from the Cambrian, 540 million years old, Trilobites! From the world famous Wheeler Amphitheater at Antelope Springs, Utah. Some of the best known fossil bearing rock anywhere! Each year, Cornbelly’s features a new maze design and this year’s promises to be one of the best yet! Cornbelly’s Corn Maze & Pumpkin Fest at Thanksgiving Point was selected as one of a handful of “Space Farms” working with NASA to honor the U.S. space program! The 2011 space maze design is filled with the twists, turns, and surprises you’ve come to expect and as always, surrounded by tons of extra activities sure to entertain.

Intrepid guests are invited to venture into the newly imagined Insanity Point, a separate, heart-thumping section of the Cornbelly’s filled with nooks and crannies hiding figures from your worst nightmares. Walk through the belly of the fearsome creature. Hurry through haunted trailers filled with horrific scenes.

Kick off the official start of autumn at Thanksgiving Point by celebrating at the 2nd Annual Harvest Festival. Guests are invited to peruse locally-harvested fruits and vegetables and shop for locally-made products.

Friday evening a Quick Draw (timed painting) competition will delight the crowds while artists race to make a masterpiece in 90 minutes.

On Saturday, community favorite Utah’s Giant Pumpkin Growers will bring their year’s biggest and best pumpkins to be weighed and judged in the U.G.P.G 8th Annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off. Last year’s winner set a new state record- spectators will watch in suspense to see it happen again. Live music on Friday and Saturday, as well as themed crafts on Saturday are sure to create a memorable atmosphere.

Harpscapes: A Garden Harp Concert
