You may enjoy a variety of native wildlife, such as deer, bald eagles, elk, foxes and more.

Dare to climb aboard a ghoulishly spooky 35 minute ride, destination unknown! Come in Halloween costume or as you are, but dress for the outdoors. Glow sticks, snacks and hot drinks available for purchase at Vivian Park (no outside food or beverage is allowed). Suitable for younger children and adults alike. Please call for ride details.

Comedy Murder Mystery Train

Put on your detective hat and enjoy a funny performance by the Chameleons Whodunit Company while you try to unravel the mystery and guess 'whodunit?' Follow the story, quiz the actors and look for clues. Prizes awarded to winning detective! A delicious dinner is served aboard the train.

The Sunset BBQ Special departs from the Heber Depot, travels along the shores of Deer Creek Reservoir to Decker Bay, and returns. Dinner is served buffet-style at the Soldier Hollow Platform.

Enjoy a scenic ride from Heber to Vivian Park, raft the renowned Provo River with experienced guides through Class I and II rapids, visit the famed Sundance Resort, then catch a return shuttle to the depot. Dress appropriately and don’t forget sunscreen! Fare includes shuttle transfers and boxed lunch.

Our summer schedule will start with a bang —or more appropriately, the unmistakable whistle of the Steam Locomotive #618! This will be the final run for our beloved engine before it is taken out of service for complete renovation. Don't miss this opportunity to experience steam on the Heber Valley Historic Railroad.
