The Pleasant Grove Promenade is a place where families and friends can stroll through a quaint historic park and be introduced to fresh produce, unique gifts and distinctive foods -- all in conjunction with live entertainment and kids’ activities.        
The Promenade will appeal to people who want more fresh air in their lives and an excuse to get out and mingle with others in a relaxing atmosphere.  Come enjoy a serene, hassel-free shopping and entertainment experience.

"Park it" Youth Park Program

REGISTRATION: April 1-July 25
PROGRAM DATES:  June 6-August 4
Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Session 1:  June 6-16
Session 2:  June 20-30
Session 3:  July 11-July 21
Session 4:  July 25-August 4
AGES:5-10

This youth park program consists of themed play, art projects, movies, swimming, and games.  Activities will be held at the Downtown, Discovery, Battlecreek Parks, as well as the Veteran's Memorial Pool and the Community Center.

RESIDENT FEE:

• 1 Week - $45   
• 2 Weeks - $80.00

NON-RESIDENT FEE:

• 1 Week - $55   
• 2 Weeks - $90

2 DAY option
Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday

RESIDENT FEE:  $25.00        
NON RESIDENT FEE:  $35.00
A late fee of $10.00 will be added to the cost if not registered one (1) week prior to class start date.

June 4th is "National Trails Day"! Pleasant Grove Recreation will celebrate the day with their 10th Annual Family Day Hike & Breakfast.  A free light breakfast will be served at the pavilion from at 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., or as long as there is food!  After breakfast you can enjoy a short hike up the Battlecreek Trail enjoying games and activities along the way.  The hike and activities will end at the Battlecreek Falls, approximately one mile round trip hike.

If individuals and families pre-register before, Friday, June 3rd you will be entered into a drawing that will be held at the hike.  To pre-register you can call the Community Center at 801-785-6172 or click here to register online.  So put on your hiking shoes and let's go for a hike!

CURBSIDE RECYCLING

Pleasant Grove City through Allied Waste will start delivering recycle cans beginning the first week of May.  Recycle pick up will have a staggered start.  Half of the city will start on Wednesday, June 2nd and the other half will be on Wednesday, June 9th.  You’ll receive a map attached to the recycle can indicating when your individual start date will be.  The map will soon be available on our website at www.plgrove.org and will be printed in the June newsletter.  Once you have your initial recycle picked up, it will then be picked up every other week.  Your normal garbage will continued to be picked up every week.  The pickup day will continue to be Wednesday.  If you have any questions you can call the city offices at (801) 785-5045.
