The Penguin Encounter is happy to welcome Gentoo penguins to The Living Planet Aquarium! It is sure to become the most popular exhibit at the aquarium Gentoo penguins live in a cool climate of the Falkland Islands, just off of the coast of Argentina. They eat small fish & krill, love to swim and live in highly social colonies (or waddles) often with other species of penguins.
Features:
- In this special habitat, an acrylic window and dramatic vantage points will offer guests nose-to-beak viewing as penguins splash, dive and “fly” underwater.
- Other close encounters involve watching the busy birds preen, squabble over territory, build nesting sites and scramble over rocky shores. The exhibit will also include a waterfall and cozy (for penguins), 45F degree water, where the penguins will splash, frolic and play!
Cost:
$9 Adults
$8 Seniors, Students & Military
$7 Children
Free 2 and under
