Church History Museum
The event will be held in the galleries of the Museum. Several expert quilters including Cody Mazuran, Carol Morgan, Carol Bittner, and Beth Ann Neville will set up demonstration tables and informally interact with museum guests as they share information they have gleaned from years of creating beautiful quilts. Museum guests can ask questions, learn new techniques, and receive advice from quilters who have spent much of their life practicing and studying the art of quilting.
Author Carol Nielson and quilt researcher Suzanne Hudson will also be sharing information about two important historical quilts. Carol Nielson has researched and written about the LDS 14th Ward Album Quilt created around 1857. She will share insights about how she came to know and understand her grandmother after conducting in-depth research on a quilt she made.
7:15pm Historical presentations in the museum theater.
This event is NOT ticketed.
Light refreshments will be served.
