Library Class Registration

Monday, December 14th -Registration begins for these children's classes:

Story Time

Story time is a six-week program for children three to six years old and consists of approximately 40 minutes of stories, songs, fingerplays, and crafts. The registration fee is $5.00 with a current library card.

Wee Read

Wee Read is a class for little ones, eighteen months to three years.

Registration for this free program is a must because of limited space.

Music and Movement

Music and Movement features rhythm, chanting, singing, and movement. This popular class fills quickly, so sign up soon. This class is designed for children 3 and 1/2 to 6 years old. All participants need to be potty trained.

Class size is limited to 12 students. This class lasts approximately 35 minutes each session, with 6 total sessions.
The class fee is $5.00 with a current library card.

ZOOLIGHTS!

The Christmas Story, as illustrated by Simon Dewey, completes the experience with a beautiful and meaningful nativity.

Voice Male Thanksgiving Point Show Barn

Voice Male is made up of six very different individuals who came together and have been performing a cappella for over 14 years. They have released 9 cd’s, including the ever popular Jingles and Jingles 2. The year’s tour is sure to please with many of the old familiar Christmas tunes you grew up with, as well as a few extra treats! There's never a dull moment when Voice Male takes the stage with their unique a cappella sound. And yes...everything you'll hear is generated by just their voices.

Messiah Sing-Along on December 4th

I just wanted to let everyone know about a fantastic holiday opportunity coming up. On December 4th at 7 p.m. at PG High, I will be participating in the annual sing-along of Handel's Messiah. The PG Orchestra will be accompanying a community choir and some really great soloists and the audience is invited to sing along to the choir parts. I've heard that the house can get pretty packed--what a fun way to celebrate the season with your community! Of course, you don't have to sing along if you don't want to. And, truly, these soloists are sounding just wonderful. Hope to see some of you there!

Statesmen Literature Discussions

We had a great discussion on "Common Sense". One question that was raised was "What can we do to effect change?" At times it can seem like we can't make a difference especially on the Federal level.

But we can make a difference. It starts in our own communities as we help lift each other and band together. And don't forget to vote today!!

Our next discussion will not be held till January 28th at 7:30. We will be discussing "The Crisis" by Thomas Paine...just the first one, but feel free to read them all.
