Cool Pools
We have a pool, I know. But wouldn't it be fun to slide into the pool, surf the waves, splash through waterfalls, tube your way down a tunnel slide, or try something new.
Here are the places to do that:
Veteran's Memorial Pool (PG) - We'll be doing our swimming lessons here later this summer.
Seven Peaks (Provo) - I got my worst sunburn ever there.
Scera Park Pool (Orem) -
Lehi Aquatic Center - LOVED IT!
Cowabunga Bay (Draper) - This looks like a really fun place.
Lindon City Pool - the link won't work so here's the low down

Lavendar Harvest 2009
On my way to Vegas, in June, we drove by the Young Living Farms. The fields of lavender were absolutely gorgeous, rows and rows of beautiful purple blooms. I wanted to stop, take a stroll and inhale one of my favorite scents. A little piece of heaven.
Coming up this week is:
One of Utah's most spectacular events, Lavender Days is expanding from a two-day festival to a full seasonal celebration of the lavender harvest. If the fields are purple at the farm, you have the opportunity to stop by and learn about lavender essential oil, take a free tour of the distillery, and pick your own bouquet of fresh lavender. Stop by any time!
Be sure to join us on July 11 for the largest day of celebration with the annual 5K Run Through the Lavender. (Registration due tomorrow) Run or walk as you immerse yourself in more than 200 acres of vibrant purple fields.

I didn't have all the details when I mentioned this on the July Events post, but I do now.
Promenade (prom‐uh‐nahd): A public place for strolling.

Museum Birthday Party
Join the Museum of Ancient Life as it celebrates its 9th Birthday, Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10. You’ll have a chance to explore the world’s largest dinosaur museum, make and take educational crafts, go on a fast-paced scavenger hunt, and have your face painted as part of this birthday celebration.
The boys just thought is was so great that the museum threw a birthday party!
The dino was made of balloons. How cool! Kai and Coby went digging for fossils (chips) in their segment of a pit (cookie). There was a station to make Plate-a-dactyl, and another to make pipe cleaner dinos, and a few games.
We went last year. It was loads of fun!

Hot Air Ballons
A few weeks ago, the boys and I watched some hot air balloon. We watched one as it deflated in our church parking lot. Then we caught sight of another as it cruised over Macey's. The boys watched in wonder as it floated towards the "G", prompting a lot of questions about how hot air balloons work, and why we only see them in the morning.
